Origin & Profile Description
The Peru Cajamarca La Prosperidad coffee originates from the Chirinos district, in the San Ignacio province, within the renowned Cajamarca region of Peru.
It is produced by the La Prosperidad Cooperative, a strong organization comprising over 817 dedicated coffee producers. The cooperative is committed to quality, social empowerment (with programs for women and youth), and sustainable, organic practices.
The coffee is grown at high altitudes, typically ranging from 1400 to 1700 meters above sea level. It is a blend of several classic Peruvian varieties, including Typica, Caturra, and Pache.
The coffee is processed using the Washed Process, involving a careful 24-hour fermentation, washing, and subsequent drying in solar dryers for about 15 days. This meticulous process ensures a very clean and balanced final cup.
